Moreover, it finds widespread use in various commercial and industrial properties, including warehouse partitions, storage enclosures, access gates, factories, warehouses, and construction sites.
Within sporting grounds, chain mesh fencing is a prevalent choice for safeguarding tennis courts, cricket nets, and golf nets.
Alternate terms for chain wire fencing encompass chain mesh fencing, chain link fencing, wire mesh fencing, and wire netting.
Chain wire fencing is one of the most popular and cost effective types of industrial fencing available.
Cyclone fencing is a branded variety of chain wire fencing. It is very durable in high wind areas. This is due to the minimal surface area of the chain wire fence. As a result of this, winds penetrate through the chain wire fence without causing excess strain. This means your new chain wire fence will last for many years.
Chain wire fencing comes in three main styles:
Galvanised
PVC Coated in green
PVC Coated in black
The pipework is either powder coated or painted.
Barbed wire topping is a popular addition to a chain wire fence for extra security
The most popular height for chain wire fences is 1800mm. However, it is also common to have it as high at 2700mm when extra security is required.
For tennis courts and other sporting enclosures the the height of the chain wire fence is usually 3000mm to 3600mm.
For enhanced security barbed wire is added to the top of the chain wire fence. Usually three strands of barbed wire is used and this adds and extra 500mm to the height of the fence.

Selvedge
Selvedge is the edging of the chain wire fence to keep the fence intact. Chain wire fences have three types of selvedges. Knuckle / knuckle, knuckle / barb are used the most. However, if you need the highest level of security the barb / barb can be used.
The following shows the difference between the two common types of selvedges:
KNUCKLE / KNUCKLE
If there are children or animals that might come in contact with the fence then this is commonly used. Also, it is used when the highest level of security is not required.
KNUCKLE / BARB
When heightened security is required this style is commonly used. The design makes it unpleasant and more difficult to climb over the fence.
