One Early Education Security Fencing Epping

Project Background

JFG Commercial and Industrial Fencing was engaged to design and install a security fencing system for a new childcare centre in Epping, Melbourne.

One Early Education opened its doors on 25 January 2018 and provides early learning services for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. As a childcare facility, maintaining a safe and secure environment is a key priority, particularly in outdoor play areas.

To support this, JFG installed a purpose-built security fence designed to create a secure perimeter while allowing children to safely use outdoor learning and play spaces. The fencing solution was developed to balance safety, durability and everyday usability for staff and children.

Fence Design & Safety Details

A topped steel security fence coated in black was installed, designed with a strong focus on safety and perimeter security.

The system features an anti-climb design with closely spaced pickets to prevent climbing or unauthorised access. The gaps between pickets are engineered to ensure small children cannot squeeze through, and the fence is also installed with minimal ground clearance to prevent access underneath.

Child-safe locking mechanisms were installed on all gates to ensure secure and controlled access to the childcare centre.

In addition to its safety function, the fencing provides a clean, professional appearance that enhances the entrance to the centre and creates a positive first impression for parents and visitors. Built from durable, high-quality materials, the system is designed for long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
