School Security Fencing St Albans East Primary School

JFG Commercial and Industrial Fencing was recently involved in a large project to build a security fence for St Albans East Primary School. This suburb is a municipality of Brimbank, west of Melbourne.

St Albans East Primary School caters for a culturally diverse student population of approximately 400. Their focus is on providing a safe, caring and engaging environment for students to achieve their personal best.

Building a new security fence to keep active children safe was the main priority. This is especially when the roads surrounding the school are busy during the drop off and pick up times. As with all schools the first priority was to make the fence secure. However, the fence had to also be welcoming.

The finished fence design is a rod topped steel security commercial tubular fence coated in black. It was built with a high level of security in mind. As with most school fences, it is an anti climb fence making it extremely difficult for young children to climb over. It was also designed so children could not crawl under the fence.

As an extra precaution while the fence was being built, a temporary fence was erected.

The security fence is not only creates a safe place for children, but gives a great first impression when parents arrive to drop off their children, knowing that their children will be safe while at school.

The security fence is also designed to deter people from entering the school grounds with the intent to vandalize and damage property. It is well documented that schools with security fences have significantly less incidents of vandalism. This results in more money being available for students instead of damaged property.
