University Park Primary School Security Fencing
JFG Commercial and Industrial Fencing was recently involved in a large project to build a security fence for University Park Primary School in the Melbourne suburb of St Albans.
University Park Primary School has been providing safe and supporting learning environment since 1972. It is a small school that prides itself on being a school of excellence. It focuses on children achieving their full potential.
Building a new security fence to keep active children safe was the main priority. This is especially true when they are out playing during recess times. However, the security fence still needed to look modern and stylish. In addition, it needed to be welcoming – especially for children just starting out at school.
The final design chosen is a steel spear topped commercial tubular fence powder coated in black. It is built to make it hard for primary school age children to climb over. This means that students are now safe from dangerous hazards, such as passing vehicles.
The security fence is also designed to deter people from entering the school grounds with the intent to vandalize and damage property. It is well documented that schools with security fences have significantly less incidents of vandalism. This results in more money being available for students instead of damaged property.
University Park Primary School has made a great investment that keeps both students safe and deters vandals.
As an extra precaution while the fence was being built, a temporary fence was erected.
