Options for Cricket Net Enclosure Fences
When thinking about installing a cricket net enclosure fence you need to make sure that it complies with the Australian Standard AS1725.4 – 2010: Chain link fabric fencing—Cricket net fencing enclosures. The standard sets out the requirements in respect of the fencing material, the footings as well as installation.
The standard requires the centre net, when there are multiple bays, be a minimum length of 21 metres. Peripheral nets require a minimum side fencing length of 11m. Despite this minimum requirement it is recommend that this length be increased to 21 m or even to 27 m to extended bowler run ups.
